Booking Terms and Conditions
Sinag Travel
Effective Date: 8 November 2026 v4.0
Business Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
These Booking Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all bookings made with Sinag Travel (“we”,“us”, “our”), including custom-made travel itineraries, package holidays, land arrangements, accommodation, transfers, tours, and related services to destinations in the Philippines.
By making a booking, paying a deposit, or otherwise confirming your travel arrangements, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Our role
We act as an agent for airlines, accommodation providers, tour operators, transport companies, and other third-party suppliers (“Suppliers”). For custom itineraries, we arrange services based on your requested travel preferences and the availability, conditions, and pricing provided by Suppliers.
We do not own or operate the services provided by Suppliers unless expressly stated. Each Supplier may have its own terms, conditions, and limitations, which form part of your booking.
2. Quotations and custom itineraries
For custom itineraries, Sinag Travel may charge a planning fee per family or group for researching and preparing a personalised itinerary and quote.
Before planning begins, we’ll confirm the fee, what’s included, and when it’s due. If you book the proposed trip through Sinag Travel, we’ll deduct the planning fee from your package price. If you decide not to book, the fee is generally non-refundable, subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Planning begins once the agreed fee is paid and we have the information we need. The fee does not secure accommodation, flights or other services, and prices and availability may change until bookings are confirmed.
All quotations for custom-made itineraries are based on the information available at the time of issue and are subject to change until booking confirmation and payment are completed.
Unless otherwise stated:
• prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD);
• quotations are valid only for the period stated in the quote;
• final pricing depends on supplier availability, airfare class, hotel availability, exchange rates, taxes, and surcharges; and
• quoted itineraries may require amendment if requested services become unavailable.
3. Booking confirmation
A booking is only confirmed when:
• you have accepted the itinerary and these Terms;
• you have paid the required deposit; and
• we have issued a written booking confirmation.
We reserve the right to refuse a booking before confirmation where supplier availability changes, payment is not received on time, or we reasonably believe the booking cannot be properly fulfilled.
4. Deposit
For custom-made itineraries, a deposit of 20% of the total package price is required to secure arrangements, unless otherwise stated in your quotation or booking confirmation.
The deposit is due within 7 days of the invoice date or by any earlier deadline specified in the quote, and is non-refundable except where required by law or where we are unable to confirm the booking due to our fault or that of a Supplier.
In some cases, Suppliers may require a higher deposit or full prepayment. If so, we will advise you before booking confirmation.
5. Final payment
The full balance must be paid no later than 40 days before the scheduled travel commencement date, or earlier as indicated in your quotation, especially during super peak season, where availabilities are very limited.
If the booking is made within 40 days of departure, full payment is due immediately upon confirmation.
If final payment is not received by the due date:
• we may cancel the booking without liability to you;
• any deposit paid may be forfeited to cover supplier cancellation charges and our reasonable administrative costs; and
• you may remain liable for cancellation fees charged by Suppliers.
6. Cancellation by you
If you cancel your booking, cancellation fees apply as follows unless your quotation, booking confirmation, or Supplier terms state otherwise:
• More than 40 days before departure: deposit forfeited;
• 40 to 31 days before departure: 50% of total package price;
• 30 to 15 days before departure: 75% of total package price;
• 14 days or less before departure: 100% of total package price.
These cancellation fees reflect estimated loss, supplier charges, and administration costs. In many cases, Supplier conditions may be more restrictive, and you agree to pay any additional non-recoverable supplier costs incurred.
Some services, including airfare, private transfers, cruises, special event tickets, and certain accommodation or tour components, may be 100% non-refundable from the time of booking. We will advise you where applicable.
7. Amendments by you
Requests to change travel dates, names, itinerary components, or rooming arrangements are subject to availability and Supplier approval. Amendment fees may apply, including reissue fees, fare differences, and Supplier charges. No amendment is guaranteed.
8. Cancellation or changes by us or Suppliers
We may be required to make changes or cancel bookings due to Supplier issues, operational reasons, government action, safety, weather, minimum numbers, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
Where a significant change or cancellation occurs before departure, we will use reasonable efforts to offer:
• an alternative arrangement of comparable value; or
• a refund from the relevant Supplier to the extent we are entitled to receive it.
We are not responsible for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by Suppliers or events outside our control, except to the extent required by law.
9. Refunds
Refunds, if any, are subject to the applicable Supplier terms and the extent to which funds are recoverable from Suppliers. Where a refund is due and is received by us, we will process it within a reasonable time. We are not obliged to refund amounts that have already been paid to and retained by Suppliers, except where required by law. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including rights relating to failures to provide services with due care and skill, fitness for purpose, or major failures.
10. Travel documents, passports, visas, and entry requirements
You are responsible for ensuring that all travellers have:
• a valid passport with sufficient validity for the destination and return transit countries;
• any required visas, permits, vaccination certificates, and other entry documents;
• compliance with airline, immigration, health, and border requirements for Australia, the Philippines, and any transit countries.
We may provide general information only, but you remain responsible for confirming current requirements with the relevant authorities. We are not liable for losses arising from incorrect, incomplete, or expired documentation.
11. Travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travellers and may be mandatory for some bookings or destinations. Insurance should cover cancellation, medical expenses, repatriation, baggage, travel delays, personal liability, and activities planned during the trip. We do not provide insurance advice unless expressly stated in writing.
12. Pricing, surcharges, and currency changes
Prices may change before full payment due to exchange rate movements, airline taxes, fuel surcharges, supplier price increases, or changes in government charges, except where your booking is already fully paid and the Supplier does not permit changes. If a price increase is permitted under Supplier terms, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable. You may be required to pay the increased amount or, where available, choose an alternative arrangement.
13. Special requests and health/fitness requirements
Special requests, including dietary needs, bedding requests, accessibility requirements, and room preferences, are not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing by the Supplier. You must advise us at the time of booking of any mobility issues, medical conditions, pregnancy, allergies, or other conditions that may affect travel. Some itineraries may not be suitable for all travellers.
14. Liability and Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
• we are not liable for acts, omissions, or defaults of Suppliers;
• we are not liable for loss, damage, delay, injury, illness, or expenses caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, pandemics, strikes, border closures, civil disturbance, or force majeure events;
• our liability for any breach of an implied warranty or consumer guarantee that cannot be excluded is limited, at our option, to resupplying the services or paying the cost of resupply, to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the ACL that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Complaints
If you have a concern during travel, you must notify us and the relevant Supplier as soon as possible so we can attempt to resolve it. If the issue is not resolved, please contact us in writing within 30 days after travel completion, with supporting evidence.
16. Force majeure
We are not responsible for any delay, cancellation, or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, public health emergencies, war, terrorism, industrial action, government restrictions, and supplier insolvency.
17. Privacy
We collect and use personal information to process bookings, communicate with you, and fulfil legal and supplier requirements. We may share your information with Suppliers, insurers, and authorities as necessary for travel arrangements. By booking, you consent to this disclosure where reasonably required.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia.
19. Hosted small-group departuresThese additional terms apply to our hosted small-group departures, such as The Quiet Philippines, Together. If anything in this section differs from the rest of these Terms, this section applies to group departures.
19.1 Accommodation
We name the hotels and resorts we plan to use for each departure. If a named property becomes unavailable, or can no longer provide the standard we expect, we may replace it with a property of a similar or higher standard in the same destination. We will let you know as soon as reasonably practicable. If the replacement is a significant change, section 8 applies.
19.2 Your price
Your price is fixed once we receive your deposit and confirm your booking. For group departures, section 12 does not apply: we will not ask you to pay more after your booking is confirmed because of exchange rate movements, supplier price increases, surcharges or changes in government charges.
19.3 Minimum numbers
Each group departure needs a minimum number of guests to go ahead, which we state on the trip page (for The Quiet Philippines, Together, the minimum is 8 guests). We will tell you whether the departure is going ahead by the confirmation date shown in your booking confirmation. If the minimum is not reached, we will cancel the departure and give you a full refund of all money you have paid us for it. This refund does not cover costs you have paid to others, such as international flights or travel insurance, so we recommend waiting until we confirm the departure before booking these.
